Ipswich Town beat Nottingham Forest and Portsmouth to the loan signing of Stoke City defender Danny Collins.
The Wales defender is set to make his debut for the Tractor Boys at Blackpool today.
Collins, 31, was omitted from Stoke's 25-man Premier League squad.
That prompted him to opt for a temporary stint away from the Britannia Stadium.
