Pippo Inzaghi has declared he hopes to earn a new contract at AC Milan.
The veteran striker was on the mark in Sunday's 1-1 draw with Napoli.
Inzaghi said: "I have two certainties. The first is that I would like to finish my career with Milan: It's logical that I try and beat the goalscoring records in the European competitions with Milan. And then, Milan are also a part of me.
"But the second certainty is that I will work hard not to have another season like this one: I don't demand to play all the time, but I would like it if I were told what role awaits me.
"It's one thing to feel useful to the team and another to play every five months. I am not asking for guarantees, but clarity. I have suffered being out of the team. And if I stay, I want to be considered important with facts."
