Invincibile: Kilmarnock need to improve on their travels

Danny Invincibile believes Kilmarnock will need to cure away-day blues if they are to avoid Premier League relegation. Killie, who will go into Saturday's game at in-form Hamilton just one point above rock-bottom Falkirk, have won just two of 16 SPL matches on their travels this season.

Their goalscoring record away from home is even more worrying, with Jimmy Calderwood's men having netted just four times - the lowest tally in British league football.

The Australian midfielder told BBC Scotland: "It's unfortunate because the home form's decent and, even if we'd managed just a few more away wins, we'd be fine.

"It's not something we can put our finger on. It's disappointing and it's annoying."

Calderwood took charge at Rugby Park following the departure of Jim Jefferies in January and Invincibile said: "It's not even down to the managers because with both it's been the same thing."

Three of Killie's five post-split fixtures are away from home and Invincibile added: "When you're down there and you're playing for your lives, a lot of the football goes out the window.

"It's a scrap and you have to give your all, come off the pitch absolutely knackered and say, 'I couldn't do anything more than that'.

"We know it's going to be a battle with three games away from home. But, if we want to stay up, we need to rectify that.

"We probably need to win at least one away game."
