Inverness still in pursuit of Europa League spot - McKay

Inverness star Billy McKay insists a place in the Europa League is still achievable for the Highlands club.

McKay scored his 17th league goal of the season as Caley beat Partick Thistle 1-0 on the weekend which has the side sitting fifth on the Scottish Premiership table.

Inverness' points tally of 48 from 29 matches has them nine off third-placed Motherwell and McKay is still targeting a possible spot in Europe's second tier competition for next season.

"We play for the people who do turn up," he said.

"And we believe a place in the Europa League qualifiers is still achievable. That means Wednesday's game at Dundee United is massive for us.

"There are only two points separating us and we're confident we can go to Tannadice (on Wednesday) and win.

"We were as poor as we have been all season in the first half against Partick Thistle but we wanted to put matters right after losing the cup final and then going down at Motherwell in the game after that."
