Inverness Caley boss Brewster fumes at Tokely

Inverness Caley boss Craig Brewster was furious with defender Ross Tokely after he received a straight red card for elbowing Motherwell midfielder Steven McGarry.

The Highlanders had already had Graham Bayne sent off just nine minutes earlier in the second half of their 3-0 defeat in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League, and the home manager did not mince his words.

Brewster said: "The second red card was a disgrace - Tokely's let himself and his team-mates down, and I'll deal with him on Monday.

"With 10 men you're up against it, but with nine men it's damage limitation.

"I thought the first one was harsh and that every time Graham Bayne went up for the ball in the first half, the referee wanted to give a foul against him.

"We told him at half-time just be careful because we thought with the first one in the second half the referee will be desperate to pull his red card out, and that's how it was proved."

David Clarkson scored in each half and substitute Darren Smith added a late third goal for Motherwell, and Brewster was disappointed with his team's first-half performance and the nature of the goals conceded.
