Takashi Inui was on target as Eintracht Frankfurt qualified for the Europa League group stage on Thursday night.
The 25-year old Japanese winger headed home in the 75th minute of Eintracht's 2-1 second leg home win to progress past Qarabag FK 4-1 on aggregate.
Alexander Meier, who scored a brace in the 2-0 win over the Azerbaijan side last week, gave the Germans the lead in the return bout with a neat side-footed volley at the back post from Sebastian Rode's 10th minute cross.
Reynaldo gave Qarabag some hope with a 58th minute response but Inui secured the pathway through to the group stage with his timely first goal of the campaign.
