Internacional signing Diego Forlan has defended his 12 months at Inter Milan.

Forlan struggled to make an impact at Inter last season.

"I enjoyed my year at Inter alongside some excellent people," the former Villarreal centre-forward told Sky Sport Italia.

"Sometimes you play well and sometimes you don't, but nobody at Inter had a really good campaign last season.

"Now I have the opportunity to play my football in Brazil and I want to take advantage of that."
