David Suazo is relieved his move to Inter Milan has been completed.

"It was right that it should end this way," he told Il Giornale after AC Milan cleared the way for him to close his switch to Inter over the weekend.

"I must above all thank Milan, who did not put any kind of pressure on me and understood that I had given my word to Inter.

"Milan acted fairly, but I also wanted to keep my word. It was an issue of respect. The Rossoneri understood that I had a promise with Roberto Mancini, Marco Branca and President Massimo Moratti.

"In the afternoon Mancini called me to confirm all the faith he had already expressed in me. I know that it was above all he who wanted me at Inter."
