Manchester City are believed to be prepared to deal in Inter Milan full-back Maicon.

The cashed-up Eastlands club are reportedly preparing a £20million bid for the Brazil international as City boss Mark Hughes attempts to strengthen his squad further.

Maicon has already been linked with a move to City's rivals Manchester United but the offer Hughes is set to table is much more than what Sir Alex Ferguson is offering.

Maicon's agent Antonio Caliendo has confirmed that City will be happy to meet his client's demands of about £90,000 a week.
