Inter rule out return for Man City's Balotelli

Inter Milan have made it clear that they do not want Mario Balotelli back at the club. The 22-year old Italy international striker joined Manchester City form the Nerazzurri for €22million in August 2010 but has continually been linked with a return to the Serie A since.

Inter's name, and that of arch rivals AC Milan, have constantly been thrown up as a potential home for Balotelli but president Massimo Moratti has made it vehemently clear that the attacking firebrand will not be back at the San Siro with his side anytime soon.

"I really don't think that Balotelli will be coming back to Inter," Moratti, who feels Andrea Stramaccioni's squad is strong enough, told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"As far as I'm concerned the team will stay more or less the way it is now.

"It's a good challenge for the players that we have, who all want to do well and build on what we've achieved early in the season.

"Inter are a good team, but every now and then we don't do so well."
