Inter president Moratti waiting for Man Utd to make Sneijder bid

Inter Milan are waiting for Manchester United to make a firm offer for Wesley Sneijder.

Milan sources say Inter president Massimo Moratti is convinced United boss Sir Alex Ferguson will move for Sneijder now that Udinese winger Alexis Sanchez has agreed a deal with Barcelona.

Moratti will be seeking at least £25 million for Sneijder - and has the backing of new coach Gian Piero Gasperini to sell the Dutchman.

Gasperini doesn't expect to rely on Sneijder for the new season and believes funds raised from his sale can be used to strengthen the team elsewhere.

Ferguson has always had Sneijder high on his shortlist of midfield targets since the turn of the year.
