Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti admits coach Jose Mourinho is a target for Real Madrid. Florentino Perez has instructed his intermediaries to open talks with Mourinho's minders in a bid to secure the Inter coach's commitment before next month's Real election.

Moratti told La Repubblica today: "It's all true. But he (Mourinho) will be staying.

"Mourinho gave his word."

It's said that Mourinho's Inter deal carries a £7 million escape clause - which is well within Perez's transfer budget.

His interest doesn't end with Mourinho, however, with Perez also wanting Inter fullback Maicon and star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic in a triple raid which would rip the heart out of Moratti's ambitions for next season.
