Jose Mourinho wanted his players in bed - rather than celebrating their Scudetto triumph last night. Inter's players discovered they had won the Scudetto by watching Milan lose 2-1 to Udinese on the television, all gathered together at the Pinetina training ground.

"I am a bit angry, as in my view the team should've gone to bed," confessed the Coach after his first Serie A title.

"They decided to carry on celebrating and I do understand that desire."

Meanwhile thousands have gathered in Piazza Duomo in the centre of Milan to mark the fourth consecutive title.

"I do not yet feel as if I am a symbol of Inter, as there is a lot of work to be done for that," added Mourinho.

"I'll see about doing it next year."
