Inter Milan have joined AC Milan in the battle for Manchester City rebel Carlos Tevez.
Milan have agreed personal terms with the Manchester City striker but want a loan deal till the end of the season.
Now Corriere dello Sport says Inter's sporting director Marco Brance has started negotiations with City over a £20m transfer.
Inter started the season in relegation trouble but have now climbed up to fourth place in Serie A - only eight points behind leaders Milan and Juventus with 18 matches to go.
Striker Giampaolo Pazzini said: "It is better to have one player who can make the difference rather than three who don't change your life."
