Inter Milan's Stankovic: Fans have a right to be angry

Inter Milan midfielder Dejan Stankovic understands the fans' jeers after their shock defeat to Novara.

Some suggest the Nerazzurri are not putting in as much effort as in previous years and the fans at one stage chanted ‘go to work.’

“If someone left the field today anything less than tired, believe me I’d be the first to tear their arms off,” replied Stankovic.

“It’s disappointing for everyone, especially President Massimo Moratti and the supporters. We gave our all but, with all due respect for Novara, we shouldn’t have lost at home to the bottom of the table club. It’s only natural the fans get angry and jeer after that. They expect a reaction.”
