Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder says it's no surprise Real Madrid are struggling.

Sneijder was offloaded by Real in August after battling to stay in Madrid.

He said: "It's only natural that they are struggling, as you can buy the players but not the team. A few years ago Chelsea invested heavily too, but took a while to get going. That's what will happen with Real."
