Inter Milan midfielder Thiago Motta is desperate to be fit for their clash with former club Genoa.

"I feel quite good. I am almost ready to start playing again, perhaps I'll play against Genoa on Saturday," Motta told Genoa Live.

"Today I have a scan to see how the injury is doing. But I have just done a good training session and I feel quite good. We have to be careful because it is a muscular injury, but I have the desire to play again and I hope to be back on Saturday.

"It will be a great day. My past year in Genoa was wonderful. I have maintained a special relationship with the fans and my former team-mates. It will be a very difficult game for Inter."
