Correio da Manha says Figo plans to play out his career in the USA.
The reports claim he has signed a contract with the Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) worth $7m for two seasons.
It is unclear at this stage which club he will be playing for, as AEG own three MLS sides - Chicago Fire, Houston Dynamo and LA Galaxy.
