Roma are stepping up talks with the representatives of Inter Milan striker Hernan Crespo.

The Argentina international has already admitted an ambition of playing for Roma and Corriere dello Sport says a move to the capital could be on.

Roma chiefs see Crespo as ideal to lead the line next season and the ex-Chelsea forward has already made it known he'd be willing to accept a major pay-cut to make the deal happen.
