Inter Milan's Crespo: So close to Juventus move

Inter Milan striker Hernan Crespo has revealed he twice came close to joining Juventus.

When he was at River Plate, Crespo admits he met with Juve coach Marcello Lippi when the Bianconeri were touring Argentina and was encouraged to take Italian lessons in preparation of moving to Turin.

"However, in the end I joined Parma," revealed Crespo. "But then came a second chance, just as I was leaving Parma.

"I spoke with Luciano Moggi and Roberto Bettega, but in the end they took another. Who? David Trezeguet. And I have to say that is hasn't worked out too badly for either of us."
