Inter Milan's Crespo: I didn't dive

Inter Milan striker Hernan Crespo has hit back at claims from Roma coach Luciano Spalletti that he was "sneaky" in getting Philippe Mexes sent-off during last night's 1-1 draw.

"It was a normal incident," said Crespo. "To reduce an entire match to just a single incident is ridiculous.

"I believe that there are many such episodes and gestures in a game. I arrived in the box very quickly, it was very fast and I felt being pushed. I felt the contact, then the ref must assess whether to blow the whistle or not.

"Personally, I am always very fair on the field, I did not dive.

"I lost my balance and felt the push and then fell over. I did not know who was behind me."
