Inter Milan's Adriano targets Brazil starting place

Adriano is convinced his sound form for Inter Milan will see him return to Brazil's starting XI.

"I'm ready to break back into the Selecao," Adriano told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"I reckon this is my best spell since 2005. I'm playing a little differently under Jose Mourinho because I sit deeper and have more freedom while Zlatan Ibrahimovic is more static up front.

"I have the patience and I have waited for Carlos Dunga to give me my chance for Brazil."

Adri concluded his interview with a jovial comment about suffering a burglary last weekend while he was playing for Inter against Bologna.

"These things happen," he said philosophically. "But my teammates made fun of me because they are saying I left the favelas of Rio De Janeiro only to get robbed in Italy!"
