Inter Milan striker Adriano has been hospitalised in Brazil.

The South American is currently in his homeland with reports in the Jornal da Tarde revealing that he was admitted to a Sao Paulo hospital to undergo a number of unspecified tests.

The player's agent, Gilmar Rinaldi, has claimed that the former Parma player had an examination on his knee in agreement with the Brazilian national team doctors.

However, Inter were not informed of the scans which have led to allegations by the newspaper that Adriano may actually be suffering from pancreatitis.
