Inter Milan striker Adriano is confident of a big 2008 as he prepares to kickoff his loan switch to Sao Paulo.

"I see big things for myself in 2008. I am absolutely determined to make up for lost time after a season of waste that was my fault," he said. "I am relaxed here. It really annoys me in Italy that people always exaggerate when they talk about me whatever I do and wherever I go."

There have been suggestions that Adriano's love for alcohol and the hedonistic lifestyle has re-emerged in Brazil, but he insists that his behaviour won't jeopardise his position at the club.

"My night life? I haven't spoken to the Coach yet, but he has given me his support and the directors are happy with me," he explained.

"At Sao Paulo everyone sincerely wants to help me."
