Inter Milan sports chief Piero Ausilio is ready to open new contract talks with star striker Mauro Icardi.
After hitting a hat-trick in the 7-0 rout of Sassuolo, Icardi is now rated in the €40 million class by Inter's board.
However, his wages - at €900,000-a-year - do not reflect the Argentine's true value and Ausilio has the go-ahead from Inter president Erick Thohir to discuss improved terms, says Tuttosport.
Icardi is tied to Inter until 2018, but the board is prepared to recognise his new standing in the game with a bumper pay-rise.
Ausilio will push to secure an agreement before Christmas.
