Inter Milan vice-president Javier Zanetti says Mauro Icardi's new contract will eventually be settled.

Inter want to raise or remove Icardi's buyout clause in an extended deal, but so far there has been nothing concrete.

“Mauro is very happy at Inter and we're very happy with him," Zanetti told Tuttomercatoweb.

“The renewal will come at the most opportune time, we're all waiting for it.

"He's important for us on and off the pitch, he's our captain and our reference point."
