Inter Milan in talks for Valencia midfielder Fernandes

Inter Milan are making a surprise move for Valencia midfielder Manuel Fernandes.

After seeing a deal for Lazio's Cristian Ledesma collapse in the last 24 hours, Inter have turned to former Everton star Fernandes, who is available from the Mestalla.

Diario de Noticias says the agent of Fernandes, Jorge Mendes, has pulled out of talks with Sporting Lisbon in order to open negotiations with Inter.

Mendes is also the agent of Inter coach Jose Mourinho.
