Inter Milan striker Mauro Zarate is happy to return to Lazio.
Zarate spent last season on-loan at Inter.
"This is a phase of complete stand-by," confessed agent Sergio Zarate on Lalaziosiamonoi.it.
"We have not yet had contact with Lazio or Inter. From what I know, the two clubs tried to reach an agreement by including a player who is of interest to Lazio.
"Inter offered Pazzini, but there was a problem tied to the wages of the player, which are quite high.
"The negotiations came to a halt. I will soon be speaking with the two sides to understand what Mauro's future could be.
"It is certainly true that with Reja gone, new scenarios open up. If the new Lazio Coach shows he wants to focus on Mauro, then there is the possibility he can respect the contract that ties him to Lazio."
