Inter Milan striker Samuel Eto'o was delighted to end the season with the Coppa Italia.
Palermo paid the price for poor finishing, as they had the better of the game, but Eto'o's brace gave Inter a 3-1 Coppa Italia Final victory.
"Football is joy and I want to thank both sets of fans for a splendid night," the Cameroon striker told RAI.
In a nice touch, Eto'o and Diego Milito reassured Ezequiel Munoz after the game and waved to the opposition supporters in the crowd.
"The Palermo fans came such a long way to get to this point and it seemed only right that we salute them at the final whistle too, as that is football."
