Inter Milan's triumph in Barcelona left young striker Mario Balotelli in tears.

The firebrand was on the bench at the Nou Camp and confessed it was an emotional moment.

"It was incredible, I am without words," he told Inter Channel. "It was the first time I cried over a football match. I'm just so happy."

The Nerazzurri were welcomed home at the airport by a crowd of fans, but there were also insulting jeers towards Balotelli.

"I speak to the fans who interpreted certain things as being against them. I apologise again.

"The fans have always helped and supported me, so they should know I am with them."
