Inter Milan captain Javier Zanetti was shocked by their 1-0 home defeat to Bayern Munich in last night's Champions League clash.
The reigning world and European champions fell to a Mario Gomez goal at the last minute in the first leg of tonight's second round tie.
"We are upset and disappointed," the captain told Inter Channel. "It's above all an enormous shame considering the result, as we showed how much we cared about this game and still care about the Champions League.
"It was an intense match and we created many chances to take the lead, so it was a very balanced encounter in which the draw was probably the right result.
"Now we will go to Munich in order to win. We had to score at the AllianzArena anyway, so we have everything we require to look forward with optimism.
"Just look at the fact that tonight we defended when we had to and were very close to scoring when we attacked."
