Inter Milan captain Javier Zanetti says the secret of his longevity is not to plan too far ahead.

The captain at age 37 is older than current Coach Andrea Stramaccioni, but remains the first name on the team list with over 750 appearances for the club.

"One of my secrets is perhaps that I live day by day, so I don't like to plan anything," he told Inter Channel.

"I enjoy what I do and find happiness in the small things. I hope to always continue living like this."
