Inter Milan captain Javier Zanetti would welcome a role with the club after retirement.
Zanetti has been mentioned as a future vice-president.
He said: "When it's time to make a decision, I'll do it in peace. Coach? No I would be more interested in becoming an Inter director.
"I'd like to pursue that career, to help Inter remain a great club, and I think it might be interesting working behind a desk," grinned the tireless fullback.
"President? No, I cannot aspire to that office for a long time. Anyway, I will try to do my best, as I have always done on the field."
