Inter Milan captain Javier Zanetti has hailed the impact of rookie coach Andrea Stramaccioni.

Stramaccioni is expected to keep his job next season.

Zanetti said: "Ranieri arrived, a Coach with a lot of experience and we were able to put together a run of positive results. Once again, at a certain point we fell and couldn't get back up again.

"Stramaccioni arrived and is still very young - three years younger than me! - but with clear ideas that are allowing us to at least hope in the final 90 minutes to reach the Champions League."
