Inter Milan captain Javier Zanetti says new coach Jose Mourinho has already made a positive impact in preseason training.

"Mourinho talks with everyone and is very satisfied with the work we are doing, even if of course we can and want to improve," Zanetti told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"We are very happy with the type of training he has proposed and hope it will bring the desired results on the field. We wish to be extremely consistent, especially over a long season where it is important to be strong from the start."

The Argentine midfielder added: "We expected our opponents to reinforce their sides, as they are all big clubs who want to get back to winning ways.

"Juventus have improved, Milan will do well with the arrival of Ronaldinho and Roma continue the positive progress made in recent years.

"I'd also like to add Fiorentina for the Scudetto race, as they have an excellent Coach and squad."
