Inter Milan signing Pandev: I could have earned more elsewhere

New Inter Milan signing Goran Pandev says he could've earned more money moving abroad.

Pandev has been criticised by Lazio over the way he broke his contract with the Rome club to join Serie A leaders Inter.

"They would have given me more money abroad, but I wanted to get to know Mourinho and return to Inter," Pandev explained at a Press Conference held at the Nerazzurri's training ground.

"I would like to say thank you to Mourinho for playing me so quickly after the five months that I was out. I gave my best against Chievo. I would like to once again thank my team-mates who have helped me a lot.

"I was doing well at Lazio. I have another year left on my contract, but I wanted to leave. Then something happened that you all know about. Not playing hurt me, but I trained and I am very happy to have returned to Inter.

"I was fine at Lazio. I grew a lot as a player and now I am here ready to win. Here I have found a very strong team and an environment that has received me very well."
