Inter Milan signing Nainggolan never wanted Roma exit

Inter Milan signing Radja Nainggolan insists he didn't force his move from AS Roma.

The midfielder is adamant he didn't want to leave the Giallorosso.

His sister Raina told Gazzetta dello Sport: "I watched almost all the World Cup games, but seeing Belgium without Radja was painful. He deserved to be there for what he did at Roma. I was sure he would be in the squad, so it was very disappointing."

It has been a summer of changes for Nainggolan, who completed his transfer to Inter.

“It is a little sad and I am slightly afraid that he's leaving Rome, as we lived close by. I know he and his family will be happy in Milan, but he wanted to stay. He'll give his all at Inter too.

“Radja is fired up and can't wait to get started. Inter have a fine squad and can hurt Juventus or any of the other Scudetto contenders."
