Inter Milan signing Geoffrey Kondogbia admits Abou Diaby was a hero growing up.

Diaby was released by Arsenal this summer.

“I've always been passionate about this sport, as my father is a football player and so is my brother. I was really enthralled watching their matches as a kid," said Kondogbia.

“Abou Diaby is my favourite player. He overcame so many obstacles during his career, but his quality has never been in doubt. He has always been an example for me and his style of play means he's someone I model myself on."
