Inter Milan signing Cristian Ansaldi is excited to be playing for coach Roberto Mancini.

The full-back has officially joined the Nerazzurri from Genoa, with Diego Laxalt joining the Grifone in exchange.

“Inter is a team I've liked since I was a kid, since a lot of my countrymen wore this shirt," Ansaldi told Premium Sport.

“I hope, like them, I can give my best contribution for the team. We're working hard on the tactical aspect. We played differently at Genoa, I've only just got here but I'm adapting well.

“Roberto Mancini asks me to get a lot of crosses in and to attack. Now we have to work together to get Inter back to where we deserve to be, as a club which must always be at least among the top two places in the League.

“We have to return to the Champions League, which is the most important thing."
