Inter Milan chief scout Luis Suarez admits Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero has been a long-term target.

"He's a player we like, but not because of what (Diego) Maradona said," revealed Suarez. "We've followed him since he began to emerge, there is no need to come to tell us that Maradona thinks he is a great player.

"The issue is with Inter, Atletico and Kun. It does not require advice from anyone because we know everything involved.

"We will have to wait until the end of the season and talk to (coach) Jose Mourinho, but I do not think that it's just Inter who wants Aguero."
