Inter Milan scout Luis Suarez says Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini was making a check on Sampdoria striker Mauro Icardi on the weekend.

The pair were in the stands for Samp's victory over AS Roma.

Suarez told TMW: "I greeted him before kick-off and we chatted a few minutes or longer. He did not tell me directly, but he was there to monitor Icardi."
