Inter Milan’s Balotelli attracts interest from West Ham

Inter Milan striker Mario Balotelli is attracting interest from West Ham who are in dire need of more strike power.

Hammers boss Gianfranco Zola is keen to add a striker to his squad after a limp performance in attack against Tottenham in Wednesday’s Asia Trophy match in Beijing.

The Italian tactician sent club chief executive Scott Duxbury and sporting director Gianluca Nani to Milan in a bid to secure the services of 18-year old Balotelli.

"It would be in both our interests if he came to West Ham,” Zola said.

"There's no place for him at Inter and he's a natural talent. He is extroverted and knows his attitude can upset people, but he's intelligent and still learning to handle situations."
