Inter Milan have turned down the chance to sign former Aston Villa striker John Carew.

Carew was linked with Inter as a replacement for Diego Milito after he was ruled out for the season following knee surgery.

However, Calciomercato.com says Inter have passed on the chance to deal in Carew, who was available for €20,000-a-week.
