Inter Milan are preparing to ferry Julio Cesar out of the club.
Gazzetta dello Sport says Inter intend to sign outright Emiliano Viviano from Genoa in January with the view to him taking over as their No1 for next season.
Viviano is currently recovering from a preseason knee injury, but Inter medical chiefs say he should be fit to resume playing in the New Year.
Julio Cesar, who has been criticised heavily this season over his form, will stay as No1 for the second-half of the campaign, but is likely to be pushed aside for Italy international Viviano from the start of next term.
