Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti hopes to tie up a deal for Barcelona midfielder Thiago Motta this week.
Moratti will meet with Barca officials on Wednesday before the Gamper Trophy clash and plans to thrash out terms over a £3.5 million deal for the Brazilian.
