Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti admits experience counts after naming Claudio Ranieri as new coach.
The former Chelsea, Parma, Juventus and Roma coach was drafted in yesterday on a two-year contract after Gian Piero Gasperini's dismissal.
Moratti said, "He is undoubtedly the best choice we could find. He has the common sense needed to revitalise the team.
"I'm sorry for how it has worked out for Gasperini, it was unfortunate, although he certainly understood the situation.
"I am satisfied with the choice of Ranieri - at this moment we need experience.
"Should the performance improve? I do not care, all that counts is to win on Saturday [against Bologna]."
