Inter Milan president Moratti: We didn't need Pato

Inter president Massimo Moratti insists he's lost no sleep over AC Milan's capture of Alexandre Pato.

"We didn't really need him," noted patron Moratti in Gazzetta dello Sport.

"In recent months we had relaxed our interest in Pato for three reasons. First, it was a big investment and I didn't feel like it.

"Second, Pato would have taken away space from a youth product who is doing formidably well - Balotelli. And third the Brazilian is not yet 18, he has a lot to prove. We have immediate objectives and so focus on players with experience."
