Inter Milan are seeking first option on Olympique Lyon star Karim Benzema.

French sources say Inter president Massimo Moratti wants to bring Benzema to Italy in 18 months time as they prepare to overhaul an aging strike-force which includes Hernan Crespo (32) and Julio Cruz (33).

Moratti is ready to discuss securing first option on Benzema with Lyon in June and is willing to offer the likes of Nicolas Burdisso, Maxwell, Santiago Solari or Patrick Vieira as sweeteners.
