Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has reacted quickly to criticism from Rafa Benitez over his sacking.
Former Liverpool boss Benitez blamed injuries and Inter's medical team for many of his problems.
"Let's say that, given the results of this last year at Inter, we had to react like this with Benitez. Humanly, it justifies this and so it's fine," said Moratti.
"I have not spoken with Dr. Combi, but certainly I think it was a little poor to make these statements. Combi has been with Inter for many years and is one of the strengths of the club, so if Benitez meant that the injuries were the doctor's fault, unfortunately for him it is not so.
"The continuous muscle injuries of Diego Milito? Maybe they were the prayers of Benitez (laughs) ... "
