Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti admits Diego Milito has been key in their season turnaround.
The former Genoa man was being linked with a January exit after a tough campaign, but he now has eight Serie A goals in 15 games this term.
"It's a good job that he has returned to being decisive," the San Siro chief said. "We were counting on him.
"It didn't seem very easy, but he is a champion. He strikes the ball in such a way that it's pleasing to see his goals - and he scores so many.
"Let's hope he continues in this way."
